If you want to wear a pareo, you have to fix it around your waist, but at the same time there are some pareos, which have to be fixed not only around your waist, but around your neck as well.

That is why this part of the garment began to be used in such countries as Indonesia or Malasia, but now the pareos are worn by the people all around the world. The pareos are done in different styles and colours in order to be able to fit them to the various styles of the swimsuits. Most often on a pareo one may see a floral, lining or geometrical design or even a scene from the nature, etc. So different styles, colours, which sometimes may be very bright or even loud, and various methods in wrapping them may help a woman to make a gorgerous dress and make her light, attractive and intimitable, that is why there were invented various methods to tie a pareo, such as: the arenui style, the hiro style, the mona style, the tane style and the teva style.

Different pareos styles

The pareo is rather like the sarong, which is a big part of a fabric, which is used to wrap it around the waist or the whole body as well, with the only difference in their origin. The pareos began to be used in French Pelynesia, while the sarongs were utilized for the first time in Indonesia. If you want your pareo to serve you for a long time it is better to have recourse to the hand wash, because in spite of the fact that the pareos are sewn from the various types of fabrics, most often the manufacturers decide to resort to the very delicate types of them.
